[ARCHIVED] Wasatch High School FBLA Earns 10th Straight State Title

2019 FBLA Champions

Heber City Mayor, Kelleen Potter, recognizes achievement of the Wasatch High School FBLA team, in their 10th consecutive State Championship.

Wasatch High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) took first in the state for the 10th consecutive year. The Utah FBLA State Leadership Conference was held at the Davis Conference Center March 11th-13th, 2019. Wasatch competed against more than 100 high schools at the three-day competition, and came out on top.

FBLA leadership conferences entail speaking, interview, presentation, and testing events that assess competitors’ competency in an array of business and marketing topics. Success in any event requires lots of knowledge, study, skill, and confidence. Sixty-four Wasatch High students participated in numerous events and came home with more than 100 top 10 finishes.

A special shout out to Josh Benson, Emmelia Cieslewicz, Isaiah Cieslewicz, Nathan Curtis, and Ellie Wilhite; they each took first place in more than one event, and were awarded a $100 cash prize for each win.

The full roster of team members includes: Jon Balls, Josh Benson, Rachel Brighton, Andrew Chappell, Emmelia and Isiah Cieslewicz, Nathan Curtis, Hayden Gregrich, Kai Haddock, Logan Stone, Sage Whipple, Ellie Wilhite, Sara Wit, Kenna Berkley, Elle Erickson, Abby Knudsen, Alana Linford, Hayden Mabbutt, Connor McMaster, Breein Reeder, Jack Sheehan, Logan Stone, Katelyn Weilenmann, Bentley Ackerson, Will Bennett, Emma Blodgett, Andrew Chappell, Robin Duke, Marielle Kingsley, Ben McCullough, Maya Parker, Angel Phelps, Braxton Turner, Fischer Wagstaff, Bentley Ackerson, Kenadee Clark, Julia Kelson, Alex Goates, Cannon Nabaum, Luke Straddeck, Wyatt Wilson, Eden Phelps, Logan Stone, Hyrum Gailey, Maggie Scott, Thea Bodensteiner, McCall Davis, and Kaleb Jensen

Students who placed in the top two in their events, now have the opportunity to attend the national competition this June in San Antonio, Texas.
